Role Overview:As a Backend Developer at White Mountain Solutions, you'll play a pivotal role in architecting and building the backend infrastructure that powers our digital solutions. Your proficiency in backend programming languages and cloud platforms will be essential in creating robust, scalable, and secure systems that deliver seamless user experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with frontend developers, designers, and project managers to define backend requirements and translate them into functional systems.
- Design and implement scalable backend architectures, databases, and APIs that support dynamic web applications.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in languages such as Python, Node.js, Java, or others.
- Integrate third-party APIs and services to enhance application functionality and user experience.
- Ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability of backend systems.
- Deploy applications and services on cloud platforms like AWS or GCP, configuring infrastructure and monitoring tools as needed.
- Implement testing strategies and conduct debugging and troubleshooting to resolve backend issues.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in backend development and cloud computing.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Backend Developer with proficiency in at least one backend programming language (e.g., Python, Node.js, Java, Ruby, etc.).
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or similar.
- Solid understanding of backend development principles, including database design, API development, and server-side scripting.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and microservices architecture.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize code for performance and scalability.
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
